Architecture on the Pacific coast

Secrets Bahía Mita and Dreams Bahía Mita Surf & Spa Resort form a hospitality complex on Banderas Bay in Nayarit. Sordo Madaleno lists the project as Dreams & Secrets Punta Mita, dated 2021. Long building wings, terraces and reflecting pools connect the architecture with the ocean and landscape.

The upper reflecting pool surrounds a truncated cone crossed by a bridge. Water cascades through this feature toward the spa on the level below.

MODECO’s contribution

MODECO’s project presentation documents 2,467 linear meters of solid precast concrete fins and 5,199 linear meters of solid precast concrete slab-edge fascias. The fins give the facades depth and rhythm, while the fascias follow the horizontal lines and curved building ends.

The photographic sequence includes on-site lifting and installation operations, and completed views. It shows how the precast geometry becomes part of the project’s architectural expression.

Hotel recognition

Hyatt Inclusive Collection lists the 2022 TravelAge West WAVE Award for Best New Resort or Major Renovation in Mexico and the 2022 RCI Gold Crown Award for both Secrets and Dreams Bahía Mita. These hospitality awards recognize the hotels, rather than MODECO or its precast components.
